Can't find my newly made pattern

I just defined my own pattern and when I went to use it I can't find it.  I have done this many times before without any problems.  Does this have something to do with the new modifications done to the Photoshop presets?  I currently have Photoshop CC 2020.  Thanks!

Open a file you created the pattern in, you may find it there. Your prefs may have gopten flashed on youlost the patteren in your prefs.

And I assume the little dialog where you name it came up as normal. I just tried it here (also on WIN 10) and it worked fine. Maybe try quitting Photoshop an restarting it?

There is a new Patterns palette in 2020. and Adobe added group folders to Patterns. If you define mew patterns scroll to the bottom of the Patterns palette your newly define pattern will most likely be there. In the palette you can drag and drop patten thumbnails  in the palette to organize your pattern.  Preset Manager no longer manages many of the preset types it managed in prior PS versions.
