Can't see filters after applying them

I have a problem and normally I find a solution after searching for it on line however, no matter what wording I use I cannot find the solution to it and I am tire. Here is my problem: when I go and apply a filter I can see the change taking effect, I see it on the layer however if I want to click on a specific filter to change the blending mode that's where the my problem comes in as I cannot see filters underneath the layer as I used to on my previous photoshop.

Does anyone know how to see the filters after they're applied?

Hi Estela,

If you want to see the filters after they are applied, first make a Smart Object of the layer. Then apply the filters to the Smart Object.

You can make a SO from the Filter menu, layers menu, right-click the layer, etc.

The filters will show up in a list in the Layers panel under the SO.
