Cannot change 3d-extruded text color?

Hi'

I'm having issues changing the text color. At times the color gets changed, when changing the color value in this Color Picker – but often times not. That's when picking another color in the picker and pressing OK will not apply the color I just chose.

What might be the problem?

Hi,

For each part of your text, you can change the color individually. For the front face, click on the Diffuse envelope and select New Texture. I usually leave the size of the original file as is. When a new window opens, simply fill the layer with your desired color - or even a gradient or an image - and save. You will be able to see the wireframe to tell where the letters (and color/image) falls.

By doing it this way, you can change the position of the letters with Current View and they'll stay 3D, as opposed to the method above with rasterizing the layer. Not the best idea!

Hi,

For color changing Make sure you have select the main group layer as i selected in the  screenshot (Adobe) . Then click on the character panel and then change color from the character panel. Then it will be change. Screenshot_2.png

So if you want to change colors individually then choose that layer and then select the diffuse option so that will change the color for that layer only.

Thanks.
