Cannot open my Adobe Photoshop CC

New Here ,
Apr 01, 2020 Apr 01, 2020

Cannot open my Photoshop CC software.  Have had this account for years and it seems every 6 months Adobe won't let me open my Photoshop.  This is becoming frustrating!

This message appears on the screen:  Photoshop exe.

This program can't start because libmmd.dll is missing from your computer.

Try reinsstalling the program to fix this problem.

First of all the program is only rented so how can I reinstall??  Second, why should I have to since the error is that of Adobe.

"First of all the program is only rented so how can I reinstall?"

You can reinstall any Adobe application at any time by removing and reinstaling app. Use Creative Cloud Deskto app or programs and features for that task. From what I found on the internet on that topic one can not guaranty that is Adobe mistake or problem, by the way. Which version of Photoshop and OS you are using?

Hi

You say it happens every six months?

I just did a Google search for "libmmd.dll is missing" and found three possible reasons:

  1. Registry issue
  2. Virus or malware
  3. Hardware failure

Since this is happening repeatedly, it is likely that Photoshop is not causing the issue (assuming you have a legal version.)
