Change duration of group in Timeline

Community Beginner ,
Feb 19, 2017 Feb 19, 2017

As the subject states, how do I do this? When I drag the group, nothing happens, and I need to go into each layer to change duration.

I'm not a propellerhead on video in Photoshop but weren't folder groups more or less for organizational purposes? You'd have to go to the clips themselves (as you've noted) to change duration.

We're in 2021, and this timeline duration change problem for groups is still a pain in the ass. I can't believe we have to expand the duration of EACH LAYER. When you got an animation with 20 of them, you just bang you head against the wall.

Any chance you would consider building your projects in After Effects?

but what if i have to do a slight change on a frame, like a correction on a character´s smile for example, I would have to go back to ps, do the correction, export, import into af, do a backflip and say a prayer to khutullu lol

After Effects is smart enough to maintain a live link not just to imported Photoshop files, but also to the individual layers within a Photoshop file. Make a change within a Photoshop document and that change will automatically show up in After Effects. No need to be exporting from Photoshop and importing into After Effects.
