CİELab color space??

hello, does photoshop encompass CİELab color space i need to select color coordinates of photos in CİELab color space

    An additional comment regarding Lab and the Adobe Tech Sheet description:

    If you were to set the Mode of a new file to Lab Color and set the Color Picker to L100 a127 b0 you would see the color sample is Magenta, and not Red. That would make the set Lightness, Magenta/Green, Yellow/Blue. (For additional confirmation I recommend Dan Margulis' "Photoshop LAB Color.") You may want to consider this when writing your thesis.

    Yes, you can convert a file to L*A*B or use the color picker in that color space, or sample colors with the eye dropper tool.

    I've read a literature about it, the author used photoshop to select L* a* b* color space, but he convert the L* a* b* values that he measured from photoshop to CİELab color space by a formula, so i am asking does the L* a* b*  in photoshop is different from the CİELab.

    I need it in my thesis.
