Corrupted PSD File

Hi,

I saved a file this morning and when I went to open it up later in the day to continue working on it photoshop opens and then it pops up the New Document window. It seems as if the file is corrupt and all the work I had in this file is gone.

Does anyone know how to fix? If I right click on the file I can open up a previous verison from last week but I need a more recent version than that.

You can try to open a flattened copy by holding ALT+SHIFT while opening the file.

Or try this: https://photoshop.recoverytoolbox.com/

Incrementally save your files when you shut down in the future to another location. Either every hour or when you quit.

I ended up re-opening it from the previous version in the properties and re-doing the majority of the work. I couldn't find a way to get the file to open properly other than that.
