Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a photoshop script that could read image exif/metadata and create a layer empty layer or even better run a photoshop action only if exif contains specific Tag/Title or rating if else do nothing.

My main purpose of this is to process a batch of images that has to be centred and scaled accordingly. I have created two photoshop actions that do that for me.

One Action aligns pictures of shoes that are from front and back, another Action aligns shoe images that are from the side.

I want to add metadata on images that photoshop could read it and understand for what pictures which Action to run.

It would be amazing if someone could help out, so far i had no luck 😞

This should be possible. What specific metadata?

Can you post cropped screenshots from Photoshop's File > File Info menu or from Bridge's metadata panel?

What variations on metadata are there?

You could also use a filename pattern...
