CS3 crashing intermittently VersionCue.DLL

Seems that CS3 is crashing intermittendtly from a faulting VersionCue.DLL. This happens at different times throughtout a photoshop session. Not one thing triggers the crash. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a Mac user but I would have thought there would be a problem running such as old version of Photoshop under a modern OS. I suggest you download the trial version Photoshop 2020 and try it out on your system.
