Hello,
I need help, Im having trouble with my CS6 Extended serial number. Its keeps telling me Im in the trial version.
I purchased CS6-Extended from Ebay a few years ago, I do have the CD as well. Since I bought it from a 3rd party seller, I didn’t register at Adobe but the Ebay seller gave me the serial number for the Extended which worked fine and continued to work well all these years until 2 weeks ago when my MacBook Pro wouldn’t boot up. After I got it back from the repair shop I clicked on my CS6, it loaded just fine but then a second later a trial version message comes up so I entered the serial number and it doesn’t recognize it. It actually said my number was revoked! This has never happened to me before in all the years Ive used it. So I restarted CS6, same thing happened, but this time I just clicked the red close window button on the Trial version message and the next message asked me if I was sure I wanted to quit, which I clicked yes, and CS6 continued working with no other pop up messages. But every time I start it I get the Trial version message. How can I can I get my serial number rectified like before? Seems like I got taken to the tune of $550 bucks? But it worked fine with no problems for years. Can I buy a serial number?
I appreciate any help or advice or am I out of luck?. (MBP- OSX High Sierra)
Hi
You could try Affinity Photo, it's a once off payment and no subscription

"I bought it from a 3rd party seller"
That's something we have always warned about, in no uncertain terms. The chances of being scammed are 999:1. Photoshop piracy is a thriving business.
It always takes a while before fake serial numbers are flagged.
That said, the only way to find out is to contact Adobe and ask them to verify the serial number. But I think you need to be prepared that it's not legitimate.
A subscription to the Photography Plan (Photoshop and Lightroom) is $10 a month. Perpetual licenses no longer exist.

Thanks a lot for your reply, seems like I was scammed. I should have know better. Still I just cant afford the CC options. Health Insurance is higher up on the list and food right behind. Lesson learned.

Well funny you should bring that up. I was tooling around my Mac this morning looking for all of my photo software and guess what, I did indeed buy a copy of Affinity Design last August for $50. I bought it but didnt have the time to work with it. And if Im not mistaken (and Im never mistaken- only suckered into fake deals- LOL) I had read your link somewhere on the web for alternitives to Adobe. So Got it! Of course that was 4 months before I got laid off from work and Im glad I bought it back then while the pay check was still coming in. So I dont think I thanked you then so Im thanking now for that bit of intel. I will start working with it. All is not lost, there is life after Adobe. Have a great day.

The Telling Part IS, "I Purchased CS6-Extended Form EBAY". You got Taken, Scammed, Hoodwinked and what you bought is counterfeit.
It took Adobe this long to realize the serial number you are trying to use was from, more than likely, a Corporate license that is no longer valid and was sold multiple times illegally.
In the future do not buy software from eBay. 99.9999999% of the time it is a Scam. The .000001% is for older, and I Mean Really OLD, software like Window 3.11 and the like for use on Extremely old hardware or in a virtual machine for the fun of it.

OUCH! BUT -LOL- I certainly did get hoodwinked- hook, line & sinker. Again I should have known better. Lesson learned from when I was young, If it sounds too good to be true.....Too bad I forgot about that... I do legally own CS5 from Adobe, so Im good there. I just wanted that last CD copy before the cloud took over.
