CS6 is saving jpg with the date the PSD was created

If I open a PSD file that was created five days or even two years ago and then save it as .jpg, this file will have a "Date Taken" information with the date the PSD was created. And it's annoying because Windows is using this date to sort the files.

If you are using windows File explorer to sort on date which date are your sorting on All date may not be there some mat be striped from meta-data, some may not be used so they are not maintained. Some may seem to be wrong  like creation data years after taken. Some may be wrong software is not perfect and there are utilities that you can use to change dates.  I think in File explorer the date column labeled "Date" normally has the same data as the column "Date Taken"  You may want to list the column "Date Modified"  see if that has the date you want to sort on.
