Cursor changes to tiny dot while using the paint tool...

Hello,

I have a bit of a problem. When using the paint tool, the cusor, which normally is a "Normal Brush Tip" as set in preference, becomes a dot which is offset to the left. I was messing around in Windows trying to get a larger coloured mouse. I changed that back to a white mouse of normal size and I still got the dot instead of the proper tool tip it normally displays.

Not sure who's program is at fault, Adobe, my tablet softtware (XP-Pen), or Microsoft Windows.

I have the latest Ps upgrade running with Windows 10 up-to-date. Everything else is good.

Any thoughts?

Richard

Check your brush settings again under Preferences/Cursors.

There is an option to only show only crosshair when painting.

It sounds like you have an option in the Smoothing section checked. It's at the top of the screen closer to the right. If your smoothing is at anything but 0% change it to 0%. If you actually WANT smoothing then click the gear next to the smooth selector and un-check Pulled String Mode
