When I use the text tool in Photoshop 20.1 the cusor changes so I when I go back in to brush mode etc I can not see the size of the brush etc. that I am using.
I try to reset in settings, log out andlog back in again but it doesn't always fix.
It is infuriating!

Cursor changing? Can you post some screenshot to illustrate problem because it seems that we have problem to undestand what is your problem.
What exact version are you using? Try updating Photoshop.
