Curves & other Adjustment layer panels slow & laggy in Photoshop 22.2 on Windows

I am running the latest photoshop version with 60% of my RAM allocated to Photoshop but what I have read from posts 4 months ago RAM  did not seem to be the issue but something Adobe has done behind the scenes and it seems liek this issue still has not been fixed.

We're sorry about the performance issues with Photoshop while using curves & other adjustment layers. Please ensure you have all available Windows updates along with the latest drivers for your computers graphics card installed on the machine.

Hello!

I have ensured that I have all the latest updates on everything as I keep everything always up to date and none of the steps above helped unfortunately. I have quite powerful system and adjusting curves has never been an issue before even with computers with less power.
