Custom gradients missing

Participant ,

So I've not touched Photoshop in about a month because of other work and on returning all the custom gradients I saved to my Gradient Editor are missing?  Really annoying as I created a whole load for a series of projects I was working on.

Any ideas where they may have gone?

Many thanks

Hi

Saved custom gradients will be stored in this location by default

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2018\Presets\Gradients

Already checked there and no sign of them How would that file empty out?  Is it down to an update?

A normal update wouldn't affect them, did you update from CC 2017 to 2018 if so check in the CC 2017 appdata folder

I assume you are logging in with the same Windows user profile

Won't help you now but it's always worth backing up your PS settings and presets

Migrate presets, actions, and settings
