Custom is greyed out at TEXT tranform

I remember the CUSTOM transform was not greyed out on text.

I do not understand why the rest are working (arc, etc)

1) Yes GPU acceleration is ON

2) I do not want to rasterize or make it as smart object. I know it works there.

If I recall, custom only worked for paths and shapes.

You can still customize type though once you have the preferred warp going. I like to use Free Transform for that. (Ctrl/Cmd + T > Click the warp button on the Options bar > move the handle for a basic transform on the type itself or do a scrubby transform by clicking on the respective option's label (like horizontal or vertical distortion) and drag.)

I can't remember how it worked in older versions, but in the current version and in version back to CC2018 you would need to convert to text to shape before custom warp
