Exporting in Photoshop to STL instead of X3G
I am new to using Photoshop for the 3d features but am not a novice Photoshop user.
I watched the Adobe video on how to create 3d models here How to print a 3D object in Photoshop | Adobe Photoshop CC tutorials
but I want to export my model to an STL file and not send it to Shapeways.
When I export it (<3d <3d Print and have it sent to a Makerbot 2), the only file option I'm given is x3g under the "Save Print to File" box.
I don't want x3g cause I can't get Makerware to open or add the model so that it can be sliced.
So I want to export to STL but I can't do it.
Am I missing something that is so fundamentally basic? I feel I am.
