File opens in a window larger than my screen size, so aggravating!

So I'm working on my laptop... When I open any image file, the new file window that opens up in Photoshop is larger than my screen, so that I can't reach the bottom right hand corner "resize" square that you would normally hold down and drag to resize your window to the desired size. HOW DO I FIX THIS? It's driving me crazy, and wasting a lot of time.  I've tried opening in tabs (doesn't work), docking to the Photoshop tools window, I've looked at all the settings.  The only solution I've found is to open a different file I've already saved that has a smaller window opening, and then dragging the new photo into the smaller one as a second tab. Super annoying. Someone has an easy fix, right? Thanks!

Ok, I finally found another similar question in the forum... and somebody had answered the suggestion to simply hit the green button (of the red, yellow, and green window buttons in upper left). It worked! Thank goodness. I knew it was something simple! I'm putting this here in case anyone else is tearing their hair out in frustration. haha.
