Fluorescent green screen error

All of my files appear as normal when on the photoshop welcome screen but when I select one and open it the whole screen is bright green and I cannot click or move beneath this. Any suggestions gratefully received. I have tried shutting down and restarting. I have tried opening various files and its the same with all.

Hi

What exact version of Photoshop so you have, if it's the most recent version try enabling this option in preferences and restarting Photoshop to see if it helps

Apologies for misunderstanding your initial reply. I was viewing it as an email and could not see the attached image. Anyway, tried your suggestion and all seems to be okay now! this worked for me also....thank you so much as to reiterate what Victoria said, how do you know these kind of things.....things like this are very upseting for newbies and even intermediate users of Photoshop.
