Hi Judy,

Sorry that you're getting an error message "cannot open because of a disk error" in Photoshop 21.0.2 while editing image from Lightroom 9.1.

Could you please checkout the steps mentioned in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/edit-photoshop-command-missing-photoshop.html and see how it goes?

If that does not help, try going to the System Preferences of the macOS, then to Security and Privacy and add Photoshop to the Accessibility under the Privacy tab. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop 2020 under the Files and Folders section.

Get back to us when you can and we'll see what we can discover from there.

Thanks,

Akash

Hi there,

I had this same problem this evening. I tried Akash's suggestion below and it solved my problem:

If that does not help, try going to the System Preferences of the macOS, then to Security and Privacy and add Photoshop to the Accessibility under the Privacy tab. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop 2020 under the Files and Folders section.

Sorry to be late replying. Previously with this error I just restarted my computer and it seemed to be resolved.  Today however, I had the same error message and restarting did not work. So I followed Akash's instructions and now the photos will go from Lightroom to Photoshop just fine. Strange how this happens.
