GPU working in Photoshop CS6 x32 but not x64

Dear forum,

I am having trouble to activate GPU-support in Photoshop CS6 x64. I recently changed my GPU to an Nvidia Quadro 4000, running on a Windows 10 x64 machine. I installed the most recent drivers (tried both ODE and QNF drivers) but I cannot get GPU support working. All other CS6 components activate GPU support without any hiccup (AEX, PPro) even Photoshop x32 works flawlessly. I need to activate the 10-Bit feature for a wide gamut monitor.

The strange thing is that I have a similar machine (same mainboard, same ram, same GPU, same SSD aso) with Windows 10 x64 which does not show this behaviour.

Has anyone suggestions what to try? What I tried so far:

1. different driver versions for Quadro 4000 (375, 372, 341, 311)

2. reinstalling complete CS6 Production Premium

3. turning off sniffer_gpu.exe (by renaming it) for PS x64 which actually makes the option for gpu support available, but still does not use it (still 8 bit display-depth instead of 10 bit)

Any help is much appreciated!

I have CS6 subscription version 13.1.2 and a Quadro 4000 can set 30bit but I do bot nave a 10bit display. Here is my setting and system info. Driver info is in system info....

Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned in my question, I have almost the same machine with gpu, mainboard, ram-type (only 4 instead of 8 gig), os and cs6 identical to the PC causing problems. CPU is E8400 instead of E5450.

Can the ram setup cause this x64 / x32 bit irritation?  Adobe applications are up to date as is Windows 10 and the current drivers from Nvidia.

So it is not a general problem about CS6 and Quadro 4000 under Windows 10. Does anybody else experience this?

Ok folks, problem is fixed after complete reinstallation of Windows. Now everything works as it should.
