Graphics Processor Settings Malfunctioning After Windows 10 20H2 upgrade
I have an issue with photoshop. Ever since I upgraded my windows 10 from version 1909 to 20H2 (clean install) my gpu sniffer.exe (a photoshop component) would crash on startup of photoshop. The splash screen will hang and look like it's not loading, but it eventually does. However, if I maximize an unrelated window while the splash screen attempts to load (probably when the sniffer.exe crashes), photoshop instantly loads the rest of the way. Then while in photoshop, if I have the feature in the performance settings called enable graphic processor on, and I go to open a .psd file it would seem that the file never loads (or takes minutes to load fully). However, like the splash screen, if I maximize a window unrelated to photoshop then the .psd instantly loads. After that, as long as I don't exit photoshop, photoshop functions fine as far as I can tell so far. I've tried to update my video card's (nvidia gtx 1080) video driver and that didn't help. I also tried installing an older video driver, and that didn't help either. If I disable the graphic processor setting in the performance settings, then photoshop loads up fine and .psd files load almost instantaneously. I would like to use the graphic processor setting since I was able to with no issues back when I had the 1909 version of Windows 10 installed. What should I do?
