Hand tool zooms out

I have had this very annoying problem for months now. The hand tool keeps zooming out whenever I use it. When I click "H" again (the shortcut for the handtool) it tends to work again, but it does this every time when trying to use the hand tool. It is incredibly annoying. How do I fix this? Is there a setting that I accidently ticked off? Thanks in advance for your answers,
