How do remove/hide the "recent" tab, when creating a new document?
I always loathed any implementation of all "Recent Files" implemented in any program. To my luck, I've been able to disable or change the default screens to completely ignore them, in most of the other programs I've used. Not so in Photoshop.
A few things to clarify:
1. I like the updated "New Document" window. Specifically how the presets are saved under useful categories.
2. The "Legacy" interface does work, as a last ditch fix; But I would prefer modifying the new interface.
3. I've previously used Photoshop, back in the creative suite days, so I find a lot of these changes frustrating, but I'm willing to give them a chance.
4. I don't like the "recent" aspect as it also saves the random one off projects, and will always change order (as there is no sort) when a new size is used.
Ideally I would like the default tab to be "Saved".
As I find it would be far more productive to "control" my favorite presets, with the easy option of jumping over to the other presets (photo, print, etc).
I previously tried using adobe's online chat support to solve this question, but the support staff immediately started deleting configuration files and all of my saved presets, the moment I allowed screen share. By the time they asked if that is what I wanted, they cut me off mid sentence to try something else. If they were seated next to me, I would have clocked them so hard their face would have gone through my monitor, or at the very least broke their nose.
