Hi

The way the text is straight on and the extrusion sheared it looks like the extrusion has been angled and the camera set to Orthographic.

So for the extrusion properties move the shear controls:

In view properties set the camera to Orthographic rather than perspective

The rest is just playing around with the lights (I used two infinite lights but only one casting shadows) and materials including an "illumination" material (which was a graduated fill) on the extrusion.

Note to get the text to glow

Hi

The rest is just playing around with the lights (I used two infinite lights but only one casting shadows) and materials including an "illumination" material (which was a graduated fill) on the extrusion.

Note to get the text to glow without it showing on the background, move the text to the ground-plane with the camera looking down from above, so the ground-plane picks up shadows,  but keep the yellow layer separate. If you don't, the glowing text will colour the shadows.

I hope that helps you to get started

Dave
