How to import Fonts in iPad so I can use them in Photoshop

New Here ,

Hello, I have some fonts that I regularly use on my MacBook But the thing is I am unable to find a way to use those phones in my iPad Photoshop application I can only install fonts from the Creative Cloud fonts section.

Those fonts are purchased from or download it as a free item from multiple sources that are available on the Internet so how can I import them into my iPad or use them in my Photoshop?

Any help?

You can’t simply import Mac or Windows font files on an iPad. You already found that Adobe fonts can easily be synced to the iPad using the Creative Cloud app; non-Adobe fonts must be in a form that can be installed using a standard iOS Configuration Profile for fonts. Some font sources may provide their fonts this way, check if your font sources did. I think Photoshop on iPad can use non-Adobe fonts installed in the iOS standard way.

For example, if you downloaded a font from Hoefler & Co font, here is how it would be installed:

I have around 300 Fonts. Am I suppose to install them as a config file? 300 config files? Does this thing really makes any sense?

All I know is that fonts on an iPad have to be added through an app. My guess is that because fonts are used system-wide, iOS applies additional security restrictions to them in case they contain malware.

This is more of an iOS question than an Adobe question; you probably want to research whether there is any software out there that can convert Mac or PC font files to iOS font files.

Also, this question was posted in the Photoshop community, but it might get better answers in the Photoshop for Mobile community.

I have found a half solution.

I can try this:

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/add-your-fonts-to-creative-cloud.html

But the issue I am getting is:

I don't have the "Add fonts to creative cloud" option.

Do you see that option in your Creative Cloud App?

Well, now you taught me something! 🙂 I did not know that you can add your own fonts to the Creative Cloud app. Thanks! I do see it in the Creative Cloud app on my Mac:

However, I read the help link and it says this in the FAQ at the bottom of the page:

Can I add fonts to Creative Cloud to use on my mobile devices?
Currently, adding fonts to Creative Cloud will give you access to your fonts on desktop devices only when you sign in to the Creative Cloud desktop app. This feature will be available to Creative Cloud mobile apps in a future update.

So this is not a way to get fonts to a mobile device, until Adobe enables it (which the last sentence says is planned for the future).

The above method only works for desktops.

I have found another method, which was also mentioned earlier in this thread. I have installed all of my fonts via a configuration profile. So now everything is good.

But, Adobe should also allow us to use the fonts that we upload as a 3rd party font in our iPad too.

Photoshop for iPad is so cool but many features are missing even after almost 2 years of launching the app. And let's not start with the pricing!!!
