How to open old Mac type 8BIM PhotoShop files now on Win

I have about 20 40MB Syquests disks I'm recoving data from onto Window 10. I'm abale to reover the main files and the resorce forks seem to get written as a hidden file with the period prefix. Most files did not have extentions, being created under Mac System7 with PS 2.5 or older. I can open up type TIFF and EPS files when the type is detected and I use PS 'Open AS' to pick the type. Otherwise it gives a bad file format error when opening. That all is fine and picking the right type gets the file to open. My problem is that most files were normal PSD files and they seem to have the 8BIM type showing up in the binnary header. Adding .psd to the name is no help either. I cannot get these to open with any of the specific types other than PSD Raw, but there it is just all scrambled as I don't have any of the specifics to get the files to open correctly. I also have a number of DSC archives from Kodak DSC100 and DSC200 cameras that would use a plug in as a TWAIN capture to pick images from the archive and import for editing. I'd love to be able to open those arcive files again as well. I cannot find any Kodak plugin and it seems the moden PS has stopped suporting twain all together. So I wonder, while I have the cloud lisc, is there a way to download and run the older versions of photo shop so I can open and resave files in formats that might be easier to migrate foward? Or are their other ways to get these files to open in the uptodate windows version?

Alycia,

What type of files are you tying to open?

What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?

If you can provide a download link to an example file, somebody might be able to help.
