How to Turn off Auto Stroke on a shape

Hello! Does anyone know if you can disable or turn off the auto stroke color when making a vector shape /pen tool shape in Photoshop? The new 2021 version automatically adds a black color stroke and my designing needs to have NO stroke. It has become a huge time waster to go in and change every shape I make. Screenshot Attached.

Thanks!

Caitlin

It works but each time you have to do it before creating a shape

No.

Turn it off before creating a Shape Layer AND without having any Shape Layer seletced.

I believe Adobe added a bug in 2021.  In Photoshop 2021 converting  text layer to shape layers for some reason 2021 add a 1px black stroke.  However the change Adobe made changes all vector tools settings to stroke shapes  with a 1px black stroke.   Adobe needs to fix their bug.

Still not fixed in 22.1.0, and many users seem to be having this issue.

For me, it makes this release unusable.

Adobe seems to be ignoring the bug report on the Photoshop Family site, unfortunately.
