It seems to work in Bridge CC 2018 on my machine.

My guess is it is a problem for those that have updated one or the other but not both to CC 2018. The "updater" should kick in to update Bridge to CC 2018 in those cases. But that process could be failing or folks could be cancelling it?

It may also be that the Image Processor Pro installer script is not handling tings correctly.  I have always install Image Processor Pro Manually for I have had many versions of Photoshop installed concurrently.  The Adobe Bridge Installer may  also have cleared out the common Adobe CC startup scripts for Adobe Photoshop.   Image Processor startup script need to be in there for bridge support to work.

Hi,

Im completely new to using Lightroom/Photoshop and have been directed to this thread from elsewhere.

Basically I want to be able to batch resize a number of images (jpeg) so that they are under 2mb in size, we currently use a programme called 'Fotosizer' (www.fotosizer.com), this allows us to reduce the image by a % whilst claiming to lose none of the quality. Is this a safe way to continue of should we be looking to do this in Lightroom/Photoshop and if thats the case how would we go about doing so baring in mine we are complete newbies.

Thanks for any help!

>is there a way or a possibility to add a watermark feature?

Write an Action that adds the watermark or write a script that is called by an Action to do what you want.

Hi xbytor2 ,

I don't know if you do, or plan to, support the newest CC versions. FYI, I'm having issues with Image Processor Pro and Bridge CC 2018. On one side, the Bridge menu Tools > Photoshop doesn't list IPP. On the other side, selecting some images in Bridge, switching to PS and opening IPP there, if you pick Bridge as the input source no image is found. Basically, the two don't get along well together.

HTH,

Davide

Did you add the required script file for the brige support? On Windows its:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Photoshop\photoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsx"

First of all, thanks a lot for your amazing work xbytor2 !

I'm trying to add the possibility to convert into specific color profile (GRACol2006_1v2 and Iso Coated V2 300 more precisely).
By any chance and if you have time do you have any idea or clue to help me ?

Thanks again.

Create two  Action to do the conversions have IPP include these action in its processing.  That a basic feature found in IPP.

Dear xbytor2, I just wanted to give you a big thank you for extending the life of this script - I am currently using it on PS CC 2015 and it is core to my workflow.

A question: I have tried to use it on CC 2015.5 and it does not seem to load - is the v3.2b5 compatible with the newly released version of PS for you?  There may be a problem with my installation (on Yosemite - I kept the PS CC 2015 installed - maybe that causes a conflict.  I does open PS CC 2015.5 when I try to launch form Bridge, but I get an error message and the usual dialogue box won't open (Null value? - sorry I didn't note the message before uninstalling).

Hoping you can confirm whether you have tested with PS CC 2015.5

Hoping you can confirm whether you have tested with PS CC 2015.5

I just tested it on Win7 and it looks good. I'll test it on Mavericks later tonight or tomorrow and let you know what I find.

I do suggest reinstalling it. I've mucked up enough manual installs in my life to know that this is always a possibility.

I did a fresh install of PS CC 2015.5 on a separate machine running El Capitan, this time removing the PS CC 2015.  It automatically transferred the version of your script I was using automatically.  It works, the only unexpected factor being that now, under the tools menu, it is located nested under the Photoshop items, not as a separate menu item at the same level as the photoshop version.  But that meant I couldn't see the stac-omatic and other Russell Brown scripts any more.  How did things work on Mavericks?

A new Image Processor Pro beta (v3.2b5) is released: ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/v3_2 betas at SourceForge.net

This is the last beta release. I will fix any bugs found during the beta period but I will not be adding any new features.

---------------------------- v3.2b5 ----------------------------------

- Now supported on OS X with PSCC2015.1.2. Previous versions of
PSCC2015.1.2 are not supported as I cannot run those revs on my Mac.

- Added DATE_FORMAT flag that can be modified in the IPP script to
specify whether the file-current, file-modified, or current date
when file naming with a date format specified.

- Fixed places in Installation.pdf where "3 files/folders" should be
"4 files/folders" to accomodate the new localization folder
  "Image Processor Pro"

- IPP will now automatically append the file extension if 'extension' or
'EXTENSION' are not defined in the File Naming panel.

Sourceforge, the site hosting the IPP package, is having problems. If the URL posted above does not work, try this one:

ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/v3_2 betas at SourceForge.net

IPP v3.2b3 is still the current version. There is no update.

I installed it on Win 8.1/Bridge CC/PS CC2015 and had a problem with the last step (step 4), which says:

"Place this one item into the Adobe Bridge folder at the following location

on your computer: "Program Files (x86)/ Common Files / Adobe / Startup Scripts {Version} / Adobe Photoshop"

First off, there is no Bridge folder at this location and I had to generate one. But then, even after I put "photoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsx" there, it did not work. I still had to put "photoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsx" into "Program Files (x86)/ Common Files / Adobe / Startup Scripts {Version} / Adobe Photoshop". So this file hast to be in both locations:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Photoshop\Adobe Bridge

and

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Photoshop

Only then it worked. Putting it out of one of the two locations, and it did not work.

"Place this one item into the Adobe Bridge folder at the following location

Bad docs here. It should just be the Adobe Photoshop folder.

I have it only installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Photoshop. Please delete the one in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CC\Adobe Photoshop\Adobe Bridge, restart PS and Bridge and see if it

still works.

In the meantime, I'll fix the docs.

Thanks for finding this.

Image Processor Pro v3_2b3 has been released and can be found here: ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/v3_2 betas at SourceForge.net

The changes for this release are:

- Fixed problem when saving as 8 bit with some file types.

- Updated installation instructions in Installation.pdf

- Fixed UI layout issues for CC2015

- Added more localization support

- Added support for Untagged RGB output color profile. By default, the document is converted to RGB and is converted to the sRGB profile since it is common for apps to interpret untagged images as sRGB.

- Added additional interpolation resampling methods depending on the PS version. CS6 gets Bicubic Automatic, CC and greater has Automatic and Preserve Details added.

- Added work-around for File Type refresh problem for CC2015/OSX by forcing the entire window to refresh. This makes things kind of blinky, but it works.

- Documented flags in the script that changes it's behavior.

I am not aware of any outstanding bugs. Report them to me if you find them.

There will be one more beta as I localize the script for non-English locales.

xbytor2,

I cannot thank you enough for taking on the task of extending the life of Dr Brown's original "image process 123" and making it even better.  I used his extension every single day in my workflow.  I was not going to upgrade to CC2015 because it was so key in my workflow until I ran across your new version.  Now I've upgraded and everything is going essentially as it was with even more power you've given the extension.

Ok enough rambling on, I want to know how I can support continued development of this extension?  Do you have a donation page or anything where I can buy you a coffee, beer, or something as a token of my appreciation?

Yeah. The older version basically fell over dead with CC2015. I had been working with the beta but PS bug fixes I needed for IPP didn't make it into the final release. I had to scramble to find work-arounds. With v3.2b3, it looks like all outstanding issues have been resolved.

I'm retired and support this and a couple of other scripts as a hobby. I'll continue development as long as it's interesting then I'll find someone else to take over support. If you really feel the need to give, donate something to eff.org. They're fighting the good fight.

The next beta,  v3_2b2,  has been uploaded here: ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/v3_2 betas at SourceForge.net

This fixes the big problem with the Save in Same Location/Choose... radio buttons and does some UI clean for CC2015/OSX.

There is still serious UI problem that doesn't effect functionality. On OS X/CC2015, when changing the File Type, some buttons

may disappear. When this happens, you need to click on another app or the desktop, then back to PS, and the buttons will return.

Not having any luck on this install - Following instructions by the letter. What should be done with RunIPP.jsx?

Not having any luck on this install - Following instructions by the letter.

What version of PS and OS? What precisely is or is not happening? I will be releasing a new rev in the next week or so that will include a zxp file to automate the installation process if you are on CS6 or later.

What should be done with RunIPP.jsx?

Nothing. It's an example of how to call IPP from another script. It you don't need to do that, you can safely ignore it. I'll make this more clear in the Readme and installation docs.
