intermittent brush/pen issues - Photoshop CS6 on Surface Studio

Hi all, I'm running Photoshop CS6 on a Surface Studio running Windows 10.  Everything is up to date.

When using the pen accessory, after a few-to-several strokes in a row, Photoshop will either stop responding entirely, or pause in responsiveness then make a big straight stroke as if it got some idea of the input but with no nuance.

Weirdly, switching windows (alt + tab) and then switching back kicks things going again, but I'm getting tired of doing this every few brushstrokes!

this is a newish issue, and not one I have on my Surface Pro 3, which is also running CS6 and Windows 10.

Any ideas?

    Hi grownassblue,

It looks like that you facing some lag while using the brush strokes. Please uncheck the graphics processor from the Photoshop preferences> performance tab, restart Photoshop and check if that helps. If unchecking graphics card fix your issue then, you need to look for updated drivers on the manufacturer's website.

    Regards,
