Looking for advice on buying a new laptop

Hi guys! So I use adobe CS6 and my laptop really needs an upgrade.

I'm looking to buy a 2-in-1 /hybrid with stylus or a tablet that runs CS6 or older versions, what do you recommend?

I'm not a pro so I don't do anything heavy on CS and the budget is small.

Thx!

Do not get one with an Intel card, and don't get one with a switchable graphics card!!! I would go with Nvidia also. ASUS makes good gaming computers that have decent processors and cards that don't need a lot of upgrades, so fairly reasonably priced.

If you are determined to stick with an older version of Photoshop (CS6 was released in 2012) I would also stick with your older hardware.

Once you start on the upgrade route you will update your hardware, operating system and applications in order to take advantage of the hardware capabilities.

By the best computer you can afford.  Keep in mind that  CS6 and older are not certified to fun on the latest operating systems.  Windows 10 has some backwards compatibility to handle legacy software but for how long is anybody's guess.   The next big Windows update could render your legacy software unusable.

Mac Sierra & newer  no longer support  Creative Suite installers.  So even if you manage to get CS installed, there's still no guarantee how successfully the software will run or for how long.

It's been years since these products were developed and updated.   So you're basically living on a hope & prayer that your old software will keep running even though it was never built to be deployed on  hybrid devices.

Bottom line is this,  old software prefers an older operating system which is almost impossible to find anymore.  So be prepared to budget for new software.  Modern equipment and modern software go together like peanut butter and jelly.

The basic Creative Cloud Photography Plan is about USD $10/month for a 1 year subscription.  The  bundle includes the latest Photoshop CC, Lightroom Classic, Lighrtroom CC, Bridge, Camera Raw,  free website on Adobe Portfolio/Behance,  Adobe Spark, 20 GB of onine storage plus mobile apps and much more....

Photoshop Elements 2019 costs about $100, no subscription required.

One of the most important component is GPU / VGA Card.

I recommend the NVidia Cards not AMD Radeon because it has problems with graphic softwares.

Intel Iris is not bad but Intel HD is the worst one.
Depending on your budget, try to get a more Gigabytes for your Card.

Processor Number of cores also is more important.

Try to get more for RAM memory.
