My Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Actions Are Missing!

Let me start by saying I am able to USE Photoshop to edit my photos but I am definitely NOT a pro at it. I only know what I've learned on my own or through YouTube. Bearing that in mind, if you know how to help me, I am going to need the "dumbed-down" explanation. I haven't used my Photoshop in about a month. I just went on this weekend to edit a photo and all of my Actions are missing (other than bare bones default ones). I've tried to "Reload Actions" but it then wants me to lead it to the file I want loaded. I have no idea what file I should be reloading (or why it disappeared in the first place!).

Any help would be appreciated!

If you have downloaded custom actions from the internet then try to search for them on your drive. Photoshop actions always ends with .atn extension what can somewhat help you. To load actions again in Photoshop just double click on them, use right click > Open with or from Photoshop File > Open or Actions Panel menu > Load Actions.

Besides what was already said, it’s always a good practice to have a folder with all yours actions, scripts and similar. It can save you so many trouble in future. From photoshop actions panel you can save your actions.

If you remember the name of actions you can try look for it on your computer either.

Thank you for the suggestion! I created a new folder as soon as I found my Actions.

Search your haed drives for files that end in .ATN. That is the File Extension for PS actions.

Look in the PS program folder Under the Presets folder and the Actions subfolder.

(Drive Letter) \Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CC 2019\Presets\Actions.

On a Mac that would be in the Applications folder.
