I'm making a gif on photoshop cs5, and when I try and put text on it, the text doesn't show up. What do I do for it to show up?

    Try this first:

I should have first searched Google Images for "reset text tool in Photoshop" and then type my instructions - now deleted

    Welcome to the forum.

Along with Mylenium's suggestions, look at a few possibilities:

    • The resolution of your Image is too low to see the Text
    • The color of the Text is the same as the background
    • The font size of the Text is too small to see
    • The font chosen is not being displayed in PS

I find the Character Palette very useful, when checking out why Text might not be showing up.

    Good luck,

What do I do for it to show up?

    1. Do some generic reasearch on what a GIF actualyl is
    2. Read the Photoshop help
    3. Switch your document from Indexed mode to RGB
    4. Do your edits
    5. Re-save it using Save for Web and Devices
