Need a cutout (?) filter

Hi.

I've been using Pshop for many years, but am not really a techie....more of an artist.

When I used to run PShop 7, from memory there was a neat filter called (I think) "cutout"

But when I went web based with the latest PShop, it is not there.....and neither are quite a few of the older filters I used to like.

Am I missing something with filters, or is there quite a restricted amount now, with the user having to buy 3rd party filters?

For guidance, I'm attaching an image which is a portrait done from copying an image made using this cutout (?) filter....so it should produce images that look like my painting.

Thanks in advance.

If you don’t use Photoshop proper then you should not post here but on the appropriate Forum for whatever it is you actually use.

    In Photoshop there still is

Filter > Filter Gallery > Artistic > Cutout

Yes, the OP's question was answered by @c.pfaffenbichler five years ago in 2019. The OP clarified that he meant he has a subscription to Photoshop.

Since then things have changed and there is now a Photoshop for Web version that did not exist five years ago. If your question is about Photoshop for Web, please start a new post. This one is now locked.

I DO use Photoshop "proper" i.e. the branded Adobe Photoshop that I pay about £10 a month for.....not some cheap knock-off....I am very wary of those. I simply meant that I don't use a CD installed program anymore (after V 7)

Having said that, thank you for your reply - I have just been into the program and spotted the Filter Gallery. I had immediately gone down to the 2nd "boxed off" section of the filter menu below, ignoring the top part. So, very easily solved

To keep everybody happy: you mean subscription based (...downloaded from the web).

And yes: 10 GBP /month is probably not cheap. But for those just starting, they don‘t do the initial invest of 1000$ we did to acquire the Photoshop program, that means 8 years of Photoshop use...

Indeed. I consider it good value since I use PS almost every day. I also get other stuff packaged with it, so it isn't bad at all.
