Question

new Transform tool is just TERRIBLE....CC 2019

I just dont understand whats wrong with IMPROVING legacy tools instead of CHANGING. Why new transform tool is always locked, why there is no option to remove or disable aspect ratio etc. DISTORT tool is just horrible.

Please Adobe, listen to your users and dont be authoritarian or careless like Autodesk is... 2019 is workflow is just big mess... Bring back the original workflow specially on TRANSFORM tool....

I agree... I HATE the new transform tool. Photoshop is for designers and we love the shift drag for transform tool.

Thanks, Dave. I changed it to the legacy free transform and I am now happy. Thanks for your help!

Agreed!
Perhaps leaving the Legacy settings as default and giving us one of those other annoying methods Adobe has implemented, the pop-up video tuts, as a suggestion to try the new transform tool would have caused less confusion for long-term users???

If they are changing something they should release a change log instead of relying on users to find the solution or the change in mechanics for themselves. Because we are very tight on projects and sometimes needs to get things done immediately.

Many thanks. Worked for me...at least on the PC version of PS 2019 I have to use at work. I've yet to try this solution for the version on my Mac at home, but already this is a fantasic improvement on Adobe's "improvement". What happened to that old adage..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?
