Not able to import new flypaper textures to Adobe Paper Texture Pro

Hi,

After installing with some problems the Adobe Paper Texture Pro I just bought new flypapers but i'm not able to import them into PS Adobe Paper Texture Pro. After downloading the new flypapers I moved the folder on my dashboard. Uploading is not possible. And I discovered just one minute ago that it is not possible to work with the textures in Adobe Paper Texture Pro. This is the message I received.

file:///Users/gerytenbroek/Library/Mobile%20Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/TEXTURES/Fly%20Muse%20Twenty//2014_Alice.jpg : 1 : 2014_Alice

.

Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Gery (the Netherlands)

I just imported a pack into Adobe Paper Textures Pro. I keep my Packs as folders in the MacOS Document folder, then I import them this way: "Add more textures" and then "Select a folder" from the dropdown menu. A Finder dialog box shows up, I select a Painterly folder and click "Open" and it starts the Import. The new textures are then added to the list.

MacOS 10.15.6/Ps v 21.2.2

Hi,

thanks for your help. I saved my texture in A different folder, but tried to upload them as you did.

I think the main problem is the installation of the Adobe Texture Pro, the extension doesn't work at all.

I'm not able to use the textures.

Maybe I need to uninstall and install again?

I installed it early on. It's been withdrawn. No longer in the Exchange website.

Russell Brown did say he was too busy to maintain his extensions.

You can remove it and try the install this way:

https://exchange.adobe.com/creativecloud/install-instructions.791.html

Use the download link there;:

The funny thing is I never used it. I simply open the texture directly from the folder using thumbnail view in the Finder.

There is a user's PDF  in the folder and this is what they suggest:

"Open your photo and your texture in your editing programme.
Select the Texture and using the move tool, drag it over your image.
If your image isn’t the same size as the texture you can easily drag your texture to fit by using the move handles at the corners of the texture.
Play with the blending modes and layer opacity of your texture layer until you find something you like."

And of course visit their website for further advice and support.

Hope that helps.

What is the Color Profile of your images?

Try converting the image to sRGB or Adobe RGB and see if works after that.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your reply on a Sunday!. But not sure why sRGB or Adobe RGB should solve the problem. But I tried and it's not working.

I have two problems:

- after installing the Adobe Paper Texture Pro it is not possible to install a texture from Adobe Paper Texure on a picture

- and couldn't upload new flypapers into the Adobe Paper Texture Pro

Thanks

Gery
