Old Bamboo CT-650: no pen pressure in PS2021

New Here ,
Jan 18, 2021 Jan 18, 2021

Hey guys,

I digged up an old Bamboo fun graphic tablet as a temporary fill-in for my usual Intuos 4, and i can't get pen pressure to work with PS; tried the PSConfig trick, but that means that i can't paint or erase AT ALL (no reaction from PS, even when turning off the pressure in the Brush settings entirely), yet the stylus still works with the windows tabs....

The "Bamboo settings" program doesn't deal with assign different options to differents apps (i can't even configure a button for switching between screens), and the Wacom Desktop center doesn't detect the tablet at all, meaning it won't let me open the "Wacom tablet settings" program at all.

The latest driver (from 2021) is freshly installed.

Please help!

Thanks.

The new drivers don't support the old Bamboo's. Wacom didn't update them. If your OS is newer than High Sierra ( may vary, depending on Wacom model) you'll need to upgrade your tablet. 😢

I was stuck having to do that, as well. 😒

I have an older Bamboo Pen and Touch - CTH-460 under Windows 10 x64 20H2 that works in photoshop 2021 using the Wacom driver version 5.3.5-3, so it might be worth trying that driver.
