Only small thumbnail in layer panel

Did anybody come across this behavour of Ps? In Ps version 21.1.1 the thumbnails in the layer section are much smaller than in Ps CC version 20.0.9 although the settings are identical as documented in the screenshot. Would be happy to learn how to fix this. Thank you in advance.  -running on Windows 10

Hi, Photoshop 22, that has just been released today, does have a fix for the incorrect layer thumbnails in scaled UIs as seen in its fixed issues list: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html#photoshop-desktop-fixed-issues

I recommend to install it while keeping the older version installed, as explained in: https://helpx.adobe.com/be_en/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

If you are not seeing it, go to help>check for updates in your CC application.

I believe this has to do with Windows 10 Scaling.

In otherwords, 100% is okay, but for example, set the windows scaling to 125% and the layer thumbnails appear as in your screenshot

Both Ps installations/versions shown in my screenshot are on my Windows Laptop. On shows the bigger thumbnails the other one only that small size. Nevertheless I will give it a try with the scaling and let you know about the result.

Hello Jeff,

your approach sounds like going into the right direction. I checked on that scaling topic and refrain from doing that. Possible instabilities and some more problems - it is quite a tricky thing. So for the time being I will have to live with it. Again, strange to see the both version acting differently. But thank you so much for your effort.

My mistake, you have thumbnails set properly.
