Hi,

MacBook Pro 16 comes with AMD Radeon Pro 5300M and Intel UHD Graphics 630.

And GPU can be switched and used.

My Mac mini's Intel UHD Graphics 630 can have Open CL enabled.

Can you improve performance if you use it with Intel UHD Graphics 630 until the AMD Radeon Pro 5300M driver is updated?

If you can't use Intel UHD Graphics 630, you can use gfxCardStatus utility.

I can't be held responsible for using this utility.

OpenCL is a function in the GPU/video driver - which on Mac is integrated into the operating system. That means you can't update the driver separately as you can on Windows, but instead need to wait for an OS update.

I've seen OpenCL grayed out on a very few occasions, and updating the driver always corrected it.

All that said, a Catalina dot release can't be far away, given all the problems we've seen here.
