    Correct answer

The pen tool draws Paths not lines.

These are vectors. To get coloured lines you need to Stroke the Paths.

let's hope that one day you'll be able to shift select the paths so you can then delete all too.

I've asked for this in the previous 2 versions of photoshop but it must be a pretty hefty coding job ;-)

    You can do that now.

Choose the Add Anchor Point Tool (which is also a point editing tool).  Drag a rectangle around what you want to delete, then press Delete.  Voila.

I mean shift selecting the paths in the Paths palette. So, say you have 20 paths you have to select and delete them all individually. You can't just shift select the paths like you would in the Layers palette.

    Cheers,

I think he's talking about the line shown as the path.

And no, you cannot change that.

Photoshop uses blending to make sure that the path lines always have contrast over the background - but they can still get confusing over complex or noisy backgrounds.

to all i would say thank you for your help in this , and yes i was interested in the vector line colour which does blend into the background when you are using  a photograph with background and picture which you are trying to cut and paste elsewhere..

Maybe with CS5 we might advance on being able to choose a more appropiate colour to use in such situations.

once again thank you to all for your helop
