I know it's redundant to complain about Photoshop performance, but I've done just about everything under the sun to speed it up. My workstation should not being having issues- I've got an i7, 32 GB of RAM, and dual 1080 GPU cards. I even have an entire SSD dedicated as a cache and scratch disk.
Despite the hardware, Photoshop crawls. I'm trying to put together a 12 x 12 inch collage using simple shapes and a couple of filters. Trying to transform even a simple rectangle is laggy and takes several seconds to process. Maybe I'm a little bit impatient, but it really slows down my workflow when I have to stop and wait for a rectangle to snap into place.
This just isn't acceptable at all. My hardware isn't old and I've used Photoshop on much slower systems in the past without any issues. The performance is making it much harder to get work completed on time.
