Whenever I Render a 3D layer, Photoshop crashes (after about 10 seconds of "thinking").

Is this a known issue\fixes\workaround?

PS CC 21.2.0

Win 10 Home

NVidia 2060 RTX with latest driver

16GB

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about Photoshop crashing while rendering a 3D object, would you mind updating the graphics drivers from Nvidia's website and let us know if it helps?

If you've already updated the drivers, then try some GPU troubleshooting steps mentioned here and see how it goes:

A straightforward extrusion doesn't crash here. (Windows 10 v1909 NVidia 2080ti driver 451.48 , 64GB RAM). Bear in mind that ray tracing is done on the CPU in Photoshop.

What is on the layer, can you share a link to the file?

Thanks ... It's a merged layer consisting of an extruded text object and a plane. I had made a few tweaks to the 3D text object following a Youtube tutorial.

I tried it again with just an extruded text object and it rendered OK that time.

I'm not able to share the file unfortuantely at the moment as I don't have client permission to do so, but will see if I can reproduce the crash with some other content.

If you can reproduce it, post a link and I'll take a look here.
