Probably a stupid question and it's just 1 button I'm failing to hit. I'm trying to set up a presentation using OpenOffice Impress, using pictures that I have edited using PS, then saved as JPegs in a separate folder. When I drag the pictures into the blank slide, the picture is there just as it should be. However, even after saving the presentation as I go, some (not all) of the pictures will disappear. I think that Impress is reading the files as BitMaps, but I don't know how or why. Most of the pictures are shot in RAW.
I've had issues with (partly) disappearing images solved by turning on OpenGL in the Options:
Tools-->Options-->LibreOffice-->View: check Use OpenGL for all Rendering, and turn on Use Anti-Aliasing.
Another issue which has plagues Impress for years is that embedded graphics may get wonky and refuse to be displayed properly. Instead of copying/dragging images onto the slide, use the Insert-->Image option, and enable the Link option.
With linking you must ensure the presentation as well as the images

With linking you must ensure the presentation as well as the images are all self-contained in the same folder, and move this entire folder, otherwise the links to images may break.
