Question

Photoshop Brush Settings Bug?

Hi Guys

Every time I switch to a new brush/eraser tool all designated, pre-defined presets disappear. If I navigate out of Photoshop to (for example) Internet Explorer and then return, then the presets kick in and work once again. It's just a little distracting to have to leave the program every time I need to change brush. Does any one have any ideas why this is happening, as it's driving me CRAZY 🙂  Many thanks for any help!!

Please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for quicker answers"):

    https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7044

And please post screenshots to illustrate your problem.

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Great, thanks for that pointer, I'm new to this and just downloaded PS recently.

I'm running the new PS 2018 Adobe Cloud

Brush presets - Using downloaded tool presets from Paintctrl.com, as well as Kyles standard brush presets

Every time I select a NEW standard brush preset, all of the saved brush settings have not been applied. If I navigate away from PS and then back again then the problem often rectifies itself.

Do the Brush Settings Panel and the Options Bar reflect any changes?

What exactly do you mean by

all of the saved brush settings have not been applied

    ?
