Photoshop Brush Smoothing Intensity/Stability/Control Decrease in Photoshop CC 2020

Basically, at 100% stabling before, it was close to impossible to make any slight imperfections with my linework. Now, however, when attempting to draw a straight line even — the result is nowhere near as perfect.

I have been using brush smoothing with my Wacom tablet for about a year now. When I first started in CC 2018, the intensity of the smoothing at 100% was far more controlled. Whereas, today in CC 2020, and within CC 2019, Brush Smoothing at 100% seems to be nowhere near as controlled or stable as it once was. 

When I re-installed 2018, I found that it was improved, however, I'm wondering if there is an additional setting I may not be aware of to enable me to get a really strong sense of control and stability over my brush strokes with my Wacom tablet once more.
