Photoshop CC 2017 not saving my settings

Hi there, recently I noticed that a lot of things like my favorite fonts for example have disappeared. And, every time I leave and come back they are gone again. Weird things like my history brush which stayed on my favorite setting forever - that has gone away and I have to remember how I had it configured. There is this "auto-select" check box on the move tool that keep getting checked too and all this is wasting so much of time to have to reset everything again for my work session.

I recently updated to the latest CC 2017 and had some issues so I uninstalled and rolled back. I have also had computer lock ups that I think are related to photoshop, but not 100% sure, so I have had to shut down my computer manually a few times because even force quit doesn't work. So, I don't know if something has been corrupted... HELP!

It sound like you preferences are either you preferences are being reset to adobe defaults or your use id can not write into its Photoshop preferences folder.  Check you user ID file systems permission for that folder. If you had other versions of Photoshop installed on that machine you can try to migrate your preference if you had to fix your permissions.

Thank you so much for this! Where do I find that preferences folder? I looked and had no luck.
