Photoshop CC 2020 v 21.1.3 Hangs when trying to use Image-Adjustments-Selective Color on my Mac

Just updated PS to the latest version (21.1.3)  When I tried to use Image - Adjustments - Selective Color PS just hangs after moving any slider.  Had to force quit out of PS. Tried restarting and using different images same issue.

Finally went back to the previous version 21.1.2 and all back to normal.

Hello, update to 21.2.1, as hangs in color correction are listed, : https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html#photoshop-desktop-fixed-issues

please report if it worked.

I don't understand what you mean by buildup?  Or what you mean by asking me to confirm it worked, what is "it"

I can confirm that the problem is fixed in 21.2.0

Sorry, the buildup was another issue...

The exact same thing is happening to me after updating to 21.1.3 with Image - Adjustments - Replace Color. I deleted all my preference to try to fix the problem. It still persists. I will take your advice and revert to 21.1.2 until Adobe sends out a new update fixing this bug.

Just to make sure: Did you also try Photoshop > Preferences > General > Reset Preferences On Quit?

Hello, I had freezes with brightness/Contrast, had to restart, and it went well after.

Could you try updating and moving the prefs away? (they might be useful for the team to troubleshoot)

Which mac OS version? Do you use tabbed windows or not?

I am running macOS 10.14.6. (Mojave). on my 27" iMac 5k.  Not using tabbed windows.

I have not done anything to try and fix it as it took me over an hour to get back to my previous version and restore all the preferences.  What was supposed to be a bug fix actually introduced a bug.  As the previous version works fine I will simply skip this one.  Just wanted others to know and see if anyone else is seeing the issue.

»What was supposed to be a bug fix actually introduced a bug.«

That statement is nonsensical.

Your reverting to the previous version instead of doing the proper trouble-shooting effectively means you have no idea if the issue was a bug.

I had experienced issues with sliders in Adjustments (not Adjustment Layers) in Photoshop 21.1.3 and could, similar to PECourtejoie, rectify the issue without great problems – so those were not bugs.

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
