Photoshop CS3 - new serial numbers

I am currently running CS3 on an old macbook pro, OS 10.8.5. I would like to also run it on my new macbook pro which runs OS 10.13.6. I have been supplied with a new serial number to activate photoshop on the new mac, but my question is, if I do, what will happen to my old version? Will it stop working? I cannot update the OS 10.8.5 as I also run other software on this machine and I know the new serial number version will not work on this OS. Has anyone else faced this problem - long shot I know!

You should have been given this link which also includes a new non activation of cs3 that needs to used along with a new serial.

Download Adobe Creative Suite 3 products

If cs3 continues to work on your older mac, then no other action is required on that machine.

Thanks Jeff, I do have the link. I realise if CS3 continues to work on the old machine I don't need to do anything else, my problem will be if it doesn't work any more, as I really need to keep it working on the old machine. So far, no one seems to be able to say what will definitely happen. If it stops working, what options have I got?

If it stops working because it says you need to activate, then you'd have to replace it with the non activation version.

It won't just stop working because you used the new non activation version on another machine.

Also, if you need to reinstall cs3 on your older mac, it won't activate because of adobe having shutdown the cs3 servers, so you'd have to use the non activation version of cs3.
