I am trying to create a page for my paintings. I have all the images - 24 in all- as small as possible. I have created the grid to be 6 columns with 4 rows. When I create the gallery and preview it, only 22 of the 24 images show up. The last for cells are blank.
I have deleted all the old files and stared new. I have turned the program off and on. I have done the same for the system..
How do I make all 24 images show up?

Are images for the last two images in the HTML Gallery folder which had sub-folder images folder? Old Perpetual version of Photoshop has a Web Photo Gallery Plug-in and Some old Perpetual Bride versions could have and Output Module that also provide Web Gallery. In both I believe a Web Galleries were created in a folder and in the folder the were folders for Image pages and thumbnail. The Photoshop Plug-in for web photo gallery used template files for generating the different web galleries possible and you could edit template and create you own web gallery design. I do not believe I had problems these old features. I have not created any web gallery in years using these features I now use Photoshop Scripts to generate Web Photo Galleries. Were web size Images saved into the Images folder for images 23 and 24?
Are you using Bridge output module or Photoshop Photoshop Web Photo Gallery Plug-in to generate your Gallery?

I am using the Bridge output module- when I load the images into the output module, it shows 24 images. When I save and go to preview mode, only 20 of the 24 images show. All of the images are in the same file with the same extensions.

Are all your images realy in a single file and there are only 20 of the 24 images in that file? I no longer have CS5 Bridge and Photoshop. I do have CS6 Bridge and Photoshop and the optional Bridge output module installed. I just create an Adobe HTML Web gallery where I select 24 images in CS6 Bridge and used bridges output module to save the gallery, In the gallery tree there were folders created for Images and thumbnails Both have 24 resized images file in them and the Gallery index.html works with Chrome.

That is exactly what I do. All 24 are in the same folder. When I add all 24 into the gallery in the output section, the system acknowledges (either on the preview tab or by hitting the "preview with browser" button, only 20 of the images show up.

I see what your poblm is. I never use Preview in browser button. I just held my mouse over the preview in browser button. An Adobe tip pop up stating that only 20 images will be available in the preview....

Thanks- it showed me 23 images in the past, but I will try opening it directly with my browser.

What it showed more than 20. Saved web galleries always should all image in the gallery. For Performance reasons I would guess is why Adobe Preview in Browser only did the first 20. If a web gallery had hundreds of images it would take a very long time to generate the full web gallery and refresh such a gallery. It would take a very long time before the preview was ready to be viewed. Therefor Adobe Preview was limited to 20 images.
