Question

Photoshop icons keep moving

I don't know when this problem started, but it only seems to happen with my Photoshop files. If I make a desktop icon/shortcut to one of my works and it's moved away on the right side of the screen, but moves to the left side of my desktop once I save it if I make any changes. I have auto arrange icons turned off so that is not the problem. Like I stated, it only happens with my Photoshop/Adobe files (I only use Photoshop). I have moved my Microsoft word documents and edited them and then saved them and they did not move, but for some reason my Photoshop icons do. I've been trying to fix this problem all night, but nothing seems to work. I don't know if it's a problem with the files themselves or a Windows issue. Even if i create brand new Photoshop files, they do the same thing and move automatically. It's really annoying and I'm just seeing if there is any help here. Thank you!

    Hi

Well that is a strange one, never came across an issue like that before, I'm assuming you are on Windows but you don't mention what version, one thing you could try is creating a new Windows user logon profile to see if that eliminates the issue

    Hi,

Thanks for the idea. I'm running Windows 10 and I've researched the topic a bit. It seems that this happened to other people mostly on programs like Word and Powerpoint. I'm assuming they didn't have Photoshop. It seems that they have also attempted to create a new Window login profiles, but the issue carried over. I've done a temporary fix for now by having all my Photoshop and Adobe files on the left side of my screen and it's decently organized. I've also discovered that by creating shortcuts of the files eliminates the issue, but that duplicates everything and takes up twice the space which isn't the best alternative. Thank you for your help though.

    Thank you.
